Croatia Avg Net Wage up in March

Croatia's average net monthly wage totaled EUR 1,326 in March, up 12.7% year-on-year in real terms, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (Crostat) said on Tuesday.

In February, the average net monthly salary was 8.4% higher year-on-year in real terms.

On a monthly comparison basis, the average net monthly wage in March was 5.4% higher in real terms, after it rose 0.5% in February.

The average gross monthly salary amounted to EUR 1,834 in March, up by a real 13.3% year-on-year and higher by 6.3% on the month.

A separate report from the Zagreb-based agency showed, that the country's unemployment rate dropped to 5.6% in April, the lowest since June 2023, from 6.2% in the previous month and 6.1% a year earlier.

The number of unemployed persons fell sharply by 9.4% month-on-month to 98,820, while the number of employed persons rose by 0.5% to 1.65 million.
